Join the Candlelight Vigil

Friday, May 9, 2014    7:30 – 8:30pm St. Alban Church     7260 St. Albans Road, Richmond

It is estimated that 273 young schoolgirls have been abducted from their schools in the area of Chibok, Nigeria. The abductions have traumatized families and the people of Nigeria are outraged. As this atrocity continues to unfold with the reports of yet more abductions, the world watches with horror. We are all appalled by these crimes.

#bringbackourgirls2This Friday night you are invited to gather at St. Alban Church in Richmond, BC where the church will be holding a Vigil to remember these young schoolgirls and their families and their nation in a public way. You are invited to join in the prayers for these innocent girls terrorized and trafficked at gunpoint into a future that is grim. To join into prayers for their families who are desperate for information as to their whereabouts. To join into the prayers for those who seek a forum for negotiating their release. To join into the prayers for a change of heart on the part of these armed extremists. To join into the prayers for the safe return of the daughters of Nigeria.

For more information on this Vigil, please call the church office @ 604.278.2770
