The Media Democracy Project works hard to create a significant presence for noncommercial media in Canada. The small team brings diverse communities together with leading media makers, activists, and scholars to discuss the relationship between media and democracy.
Each year the Project hosts Media Democracy Day. This year the kickoff is tonight, November 7 at the Vancouver Public Library, but there is lots more tomorrow, Saturday, November 8 also at the VPL. The speakers, workshops and panels are free but seating is limited and preregistration for some of the event is recommended. To learn more visit http://2014.mediademocracydays.ca/
